The Unit of Interventional Cardiology provides inpatient medical care, including high-tech, as well as emergency medical care to the population in the field of interventional cardiology.
The main tasks of the Unit:
1) conducting inpatient medical care, high-tech medical care, emergency medical care to the population;
2) the introduction of new advanced innovative treatment methods into practice;
3) interrelation and continuity in work with other medical and diagnostic units.
The main functions of the Unit:
1) conducting invasive diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases, including atherosclerosis, acquired and congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy. Examination of patients who are candidates for heart transplantation and circulatory support devices.
2) diagnosis, application of objective examination methods, identification of general and specific signs of diseases, establishment of clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of cardiac surgical diseases, highly qualified care and treatment;
3) stenting of coronary and peripheral arteries implantation of occluders in congenital heart defects angioplasty in congenital and acquired heart defects implantation of aortic valve prostheses, mitral valve clipping;
4) denervation of the renal arteries, implantation of the pacemakers.
5) participation in scientific research, generalization of clinical and scientific data in order to develop new methods of providing specialized and highly qualified medical care;
6) professional development of the Unit's staff;
7) compliance with the rules of occupational safety and health, fire safety;
8) implementation of a quality improvement plan, including: monitoring of relevant indicators; compliance with international standards and policies, procedures, clinical protocols and rules; consideration of complaints and suggestions from patients and their families; projects to improve the quality of services provided.
