The Catheterization laboratory provides specialized and highly specialized therapeutic and diagnostic medical care in the mode of an operational surgical unit in compliance with all the rules of asepsis, antiseptics and radiation safety.
The main tasks of the Unit:
1) conducting highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic work;
2) introduction of new advanced innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment into practice, participation in the introduction of advanced medical technologies, international quality and safety standards within the framework of international JCI accreditation;
3) interrelation and continuity in work with other medical and diagnostic departments of healthcare institutions.
The functions of the Unit:
1) provision of highly specialized medical care and X-ray surgical medical interventions to the population, taking into account the requirements of current regulatory legal acts, internal documents and international standards;
2) participation in scientific research, generalization of clinical and scientific data in order to develop new methods of providing highly specialized medical care;
3) participation in the development and improvement of the regulatory framework of the healthcare industry on issues of medical and diagnostic assistance to the population in the field of interventional cardiology;
4) conducting diagnostic studies by using radiopaque methods for examining the heart and blood vessels;
5) issuing conclusions based on the results of planned radiopaque methods of examination of the heart and blood vessels no later than the next day, and in emergency situations, immediately after completion of the study;
6) organization of a comprehensive patient examination program in conjunction with other diagnostic methods;
7) methodical work with doctors of medical institutions on the correctness and justification of referral of patients to radiopaque methods of heart and vascular examination;
8) coordination of the Unit's interaction with other structural divisions of the Center;
9) creation and operation of a quality management system for laboratory services;
10) implementation of a quality improvement plan, including: monitoring of relevant indicators; implementation of standards and policies, procedures, clinical protocols and rules; consideration of complaints and suggestions from patients and their families; projects to improve the quality of services provided.
